On the heels of the very successful Venexiana show at New York Fashion Week, Mehron jetted off to Europe last weekend. For the very first time we sponsored shows at London Fashion Week - so exciting! The Mehron team for the Spring/Summer 2014 shows of Bora Aksu and Haizhen Wang was led by makeup artist Yin Lee of the Academy of Freelance Makeup of London (AOFM), who has worked for such prestigious publications as Harper's Bazaar and Vogue Japan and the recognizable brands of Alexander McQueen and Agent Provocateur. She was assisted by MEHRON UK's Carolyn Roper and additional AOFM artists. The team created two different looks using very similar color palettes.
The Bora Aksu Show
Turkish designer Bora Aksu's show kicked off Fashion Week. His inspiration for the collection was the beauty that comes from a fresh summer morning - clear blue skies, whispering clouds, and still waters. To complement his designs, he wanted an effortless makeup with a sun blushed, youthful and slightly Lolita-like look - and Yin delivered. She created a sun-kissed, flawless complexion by applying Celebre Pro-HD cream makeup together with Aura Bronzing Gel. Then for a hint of color, Cherry Chocolate L.I.P Cream was flushed downwards on the cheek of color together with Crystal Clear Glosstone PRO to give the cheekbones a dewy effect. For a very subtle eye, Yin used Fawn E.Y.E Powder followed with Black Mascara PRO. She finished the look with Cherry Chocolate L.I.P Cream to stain the lips.

The Haizhen Wang Show
Not only did we kick off London Fashion Week, we also closed it! Haizhen Wang, who is known for creating designs with masculine femininity, was the last show to be featured. His collection, which referenced buildings and structure at different angles and a strong woman, consisted of very light pale greys and silvers. Haizhen had requested that the models have paled faces, but not straight on white. So Yin used Celebre Pro-HD cream makeup in Eurasia Ivory to pale the skin. She then naturally filled in the eyebrows with Brown E.Y.E Liner Pencil and applied Fawn E.Y.E Powder to the lids. The lashes were coated with Black Mascara PRO. Yin then created a dried kind of lip look by applying Cherrywood L.I.P Cream in the cracks of the lips from the center outwards.
We are so excited to add international to our runway repertoire!
